Vacuum hose routing

I am NOT knowledgeable when it comes to engine work, especially carbs so I need some help with a few things. When I bought my truck back in the summer I managed to get it going after it sat for three years, just needed a new fuel pump but beneath the hood is a complete mess. At one time they swapped out the original 402 which I got with the truck for a 350 and reused the Quadrajet but there are vacuum hoses laying around everywhere not connected and don't even get me started on the wiring.

As I mentioned I know know nothing at this point so what I need is some help in finding where all vacuum lines should be running (pictures would be a great help). The carb is a Model 4MV I believe. As it stands the truck will start but idles very rough and backfires on occasion, I know it could be much more than just a vacuum problem but I have to start somewhere.

Thanks for any help!!
