tranny question

Anybody know which turbo 350 tail housing to use when replacing a 3speed stick with the auto so as not to have to rework the drive shaft? Truck is a short step with a 292 inline. Thanks

Re: tranny question

I'd be surprised if you get away without redoing the drive shaft regardless. I replaced my three speed with a 700R4, and I dont think even a 350 is of near similar size to the original manual 3-speed.

I am running a 250 inline. I think I have around $ 150.00 in the driveshaft and 50 or 60 bucks in the new slip yoke.

Re: tranny question

Shortail th350. Just recently sold it , went back to manual. But dont quote me on driveshaft length because the orig driveshaft met an ugly death.

Re: tranny question

I replaced my manual with a short tail TH350. Bolted right up with no mods to the driveshaft. '72 LWB C-10.
