So for the most part our Post office still has what it takes. They did not go out (the second time) until mid morning Monday and most of you have them 2 days later. If you really think about what they charge for delivery and what that gets you it is amazing!

Kevin....I hope this isn't a hijack of the thread, but maybe useful for a rookie like me wanting to install one of these....I have a quick question....I have a holley carb (not sure what cfm...could find any #'s on it)...is there anything special I need to hook up the cable to the throttle connection?? Can somebody direct me to what the connection looks like too???

I do not have the answer as everything I have is fuel Injected

I am sure in the next few days we will start seeing installs and your question should be answered.

Should be a ball stud. If you don't have one, you should be able to pick it up at a hardware store.

Got to work on my pedal setup today. Going to use a Lokar throttle cable. First pic is factory pedal. 2nd pic is cut and welded to work with the Lokar cable. 3rd is with the cable installed. Had to weld up the factory hole for the throttle cable and redrill. Might redrill and put a plastic bushing in. If you use the Lokar cable you have to use their throttle cable bracket and kickdown setup.
Waiting on a part so I can install when I do my intake and carb.

just tried "bolting" mine together with the pedal and plastic bracket and one of the tapped holes doesnt quite line up. Nothing I cant fix by opening up the hole in the plastic base and the sheetmetal retainer. Just an FYI

this might sound stupid but i am a little confused if the peddle and cable dont come with it what am i buying ?? i dont see anything else ?? i am interested in switching my 67 over i am running a tbi 350, please tell me what i am overlooking , and can i get a cable to got to the tbi ??

Yes this was addressed in the directions with the same solution you came up with. I have 4 pedals and they all are just off of each other a bit so I made the bracket as close as I could to make all of them work. I found if you just start a few threads in each bolt they will start then tighten them all down. I will also go back and check my jig for good measure. Sorry if it was off a touch.

What you are buying is the adapter plate and hardware that bolts to the 67-70 cab then the 71-72 pedal bolts to that. You should be able to get a cable that will work with your TBI easily.

I was able to use the Lokar setup without cutting and welding the end on the pedal. Just remove the clevis on the end of their cable....

Looks great! I to like the smooth look but I know their are a lot of guys with painted cabs that still need to swap over do to engine conversions or linkage bind or they just want the cable. So I am glad it worked for you and now others have a second way to do it if they want.

Got mine a while back and I'm finally getting around to playing with it.
I'm taking the cheap way out and modifying my existing '70 pedal assembly to work with the adapter.

I cut both ends off of the mid point in the fulcrum, flipped them and welded them back on. I had to take into account the fact that the adapter moves the bracket and pedal assembly a couple of inches to the left, so when I welded the ends back on I made sure to angle them inward. After double and triple checking the pedal falls right in the middle on one end and the other end that pulls on the throttle cable falls directly in line with my planned hole in the firewall.
All that was left was to chop off and rotate the very end of the rod where the cable passes through, turn it 90 degrees, drill and tap two new holes in the plate and cut the plastic rod retainer down on one end.

This is what I've got right now and so far the mock-up looks promising. I've still got to modify the pass through in the firewall, weld up some extra holes and try bolting it in place.

Sorry, I don't remember, DOH. I got it from Summit though.
Edit: Throttle cable was $42, throttle cable bracket was $24, Th400 kickdown switch/cable was around $90. They have kickdown cables for th350's as well.
