1984 diesel brakes sticking..
I have a 1984 Chevy c20 with a 6.2 diesel Detroit... I have recently noticed my front end making a lot of notice and vibration.. so when I got home from work I jacked it up and found out my brakes were HOT.. They are sticking bad.. I have replaced both calipers, pads, and hoses... Hoping someone could help me out on an idea on whats wrong.. Thanks!

Re: 1984 diesel brakes sticking..
Just went through similar issue with an 87 F250 work truck that we have, front brakes were hanging up, so after replacing calipers, pads, hoses, and 2 master cylinders, brakes would pump up fine, pedal was good, brakes would lock up with the pedal down and release when you let off the pedal, take the truck for a test drive come back the front brakes would be smoking and almost locked up, finally started the truck up and watched the pedal just slowly start going down by itself, brakes would lock up!! Remove the vacuum hose from the brake booster pedal would come back up and brakes would unlock, put a brake booster on it and problem solved. I have seen quite a few bad brake boosters over the years but never saw one act like this! This may not pertain to you if you have hydro boost, but if not maybe something to look at, good luck
