Good replacement Shocks for '89 C1500

Well, since the front clip of my truck is off right now because of the paint and body work being done I decided to replace the ball-joints and shocks on it because the ball-joints were making noises so might as well replace the shocks too. I'm going with Moog ball-joints also.

So, what are some good shocks that you all say to go with or had experience with? I was thinking KYB Gas-Adjust shocks possibly? Or the GR-2? What do y'all think?

Thanks

I've heard the mixed results about the Monroe's. Heard some say they wear out fast and others say they are too soft. IDK?

Tokico Shocks...... I have my second set. Not because of a performance loss, but due to high mileage use only. They have a few different designs for different suspension heights, etc. I have the set that removes the frustrating bump-de-bumps, on freeways. Lifetime guarantee.

Typical price too!!

I love 'em.

Re: Good replacement Shocks for '89 C1500

Well, cause I was about to break the bank I went with AC Delco shocks for now till I get funds for KYB's or something better.

I mean these will still be WAY better than the 22 year old original shocks it has on it now.

Oh, 89chevsj, i'm not planning on dropping the truck. Gonna stay at stock height for now so.
