Custom Dash Work

Well,

I finally got a little more time to work on the truck and started the re-work of the dash. I have opted to eliminate most of the dash pieces including the ash tray, radio location, and glove box.

I will keep the original ac/heat location because I will be adding ac unit later. This is what I have finished so far.

First pic shows the whole dash, second pic shows the radio area to be replaced. Last pic shows the new metal in place, but not finished.

Using a MIG/GMAW machine by SIP. Not a bad rig, Italian built. Capable of 110 or 220 V input. Comparable to a Miller/Lincoln 135. Works with flux or gas. Gas assembly built-in. I pretty much only use gas for the truck work. Built a work table using flux, works good too.
