Block Questions
What is the biggest drop I can do by blocks alone? and can I make the blocks myself? Also, if anyone has pics of how the blocks install and where exactly it would be appreciated

Assuming a coil spring truck, I think about 2 1/4" is about all you should go with a 15 " wheel.....much more than that, & you will have suspension pcs hanging below the wheels(not good if you blow a tire). i cant help with the pics, but if you are a backyard welder/ fab "nut", you can build the blocks, & pick up a longer set of U bolts. If you know how much drop you want, some of the crowd can tell you the best route on parts. good luck,crazyL

The most drop I've seen available in the aftermarket is 2 inches with blocks. Since I do not have the correct saw(s) to cut my blocks precisely, I am going out this afternoon and having 8 - 1/2 bars cut. By doing this I will have the flexibility of .5", 1", 1.5" or 2" of drop with blocks, similar to the DJM kit. Like CrazkL said, You have to get the U-bolts made. Probably between $18-30 for the pair. TxFF, question for you. Are those shock mounts the stock mounts simply reversed? Mine are not installed like that, but looking at that makes me wonder if I could switch one side for the other and turn them over to extend shock travel? Any thoughts?

Negative on those lower shock mounts Ghostrider....
Those are Early Classic Enterprises shock relocator/ extender kit. Comes with both new upper and lower mounts. SactoC10- Just go to the scrap metal yard and buy some 2x4 inch thickwall square tubing. The wall thickness will be almost 1/4 thick. Cut them to length, with a hacksaw if you have too. Drill the holes through them for the u-bolts. New U bolts usually cost me 28 per pr with new nuts and washers at local spring shop. The blocks above, I capped the ends off with flat steel to disguise the fact they are ordinary square tubing. I was bored that day. Total cost should be under 35 for the project including the square tubing, hacksaw blade, drill bit, and the u-bolts.

with the multi piece blocks... they should be fine for a stock truck, but if you have any performance mods to your truck or will be putting any strain on the drivetrain, i'd stay away from them. i've seen WAAAY too many trucks spit lift/drop blocks out, and that's not good for the rest of the truck.
