One Hot Truck
I don't think this is what he meant when he wanted a "flame job."
I wonder if this belongs to someone on this forum?

That hurts to look at it.

Re: One Hot Truck
Our fleet of vehicles is equipped with fire extinguishers which we have certified annually. When the extinguishers become too old to be worth testing/certifying I offer them for free to local rodders and racers. So many of us are smart and talented and we think of everything during a build, yet we forget something as simple as that little red can. Maybe these pictures will help a few more people find space in the truck for a fire bottle.

Re: One Hot Truck
Looks like it started with a fuel line on the right hand side of the engine. I had one of those cheap fuel pressure gauges break and start leaking and if I hadn't caught it my 71 would have looked like that.

Re: One Hot Truck
I plan on running a suppression system in the engine and cab with fuel and electrical shut down. Seems like money well spent.

Re: One Hot Truck
I had a Holley carb give me problems once. Ran like crap, smelled of fuel. I didn't know how to tune them at the time and I went to a mechanic I knew.
He pulled into shop, opened hood, took off cleaner, ran up rpms, and fuel was squirting out the top. I mean like a stream. Me and his helper were backing up and he was yelling at him to turn it off lol Scary "what if" moment. I plan on a fire extinguisher in this truck.

Craigslist ad: "Great patina, sometimes runs hot. Interior needs a little work, but runs and drives before I parked it"
