Nlped this is yet another fine example of a beautiful stock looking truck. That thing is beautiful! Got a few "right click save's" in that post.

I pieced my drop together off of Ebay and managed to get the MgGaughy 2.5" spindles (so I wouldn't run into any rubbing issues with the factory 15" wheels), the Belltech 1" drop springs (I ended up pulling them back out and cutting a 1/2 a coil off to get it to sit how I wanted it), Belltech Nitro front shocks, and I built the flip bracket myself for the rearend out of an $8 piece of material and $25 labor at a machine shop up the road. My grand total for all the above mentioned parts was approximately $350. Just an fyi

Here's my '87 that I lowered 5/6 with spindles, springs (cut) and flip/c-notch. This picture was the day I lowered it. I have since changed the tires to 255/60 fronts and 275/60 rears which greatly improved her looks.

do you have any pictures of your truck with those wheels now? i have the same drop and i am contemplating getting that same size.

Here is mine since I did the clip swap. My daughter with it after gymnastics. I kinda feel like a pic whore tonight.

To mount the 81-82 grille on an 83-87 truck you will have to get the lower grille panel for a 81-82. They have them at lmc too pg. 42. The top mounts are the same. We didn't have that issue with the blue truck, it's an 82. Oh, the headlight surrounds are different too. Good luck.

I ordered an alluminum Billet grille for my 87 that should be here Today, but I really prefer that 81/82 grille and did not know I might be able to use it.. I wonder if I can get around the issue without buying (and having to paint) another piece.

As for the headlight bezels/s, the 87s are very similar except for that thing in the middle.. I painted mine black anyways. I wonder if the 87 bezels will work with the 81 grille beyond a difference in the final look.

they will work in my option the 85-87 head light bezels only look good with the 85-87 grille or a custom grille

Heres mine is lowered 4.5 in the front and 6 in the back with 90's silverado stocks
