Lift question

Hello everyone, I have some lift kits questions I would like some advice on. I have a 72 k10 with a 6 inch lift and blocks in the rear. I’m looking at either a shackle flip with 2 inch lift springs, a 4 inch lift springs with 2 inch blocks ( mainly for better ride?), and then obviously 6 inch springs. This is a daily driver that gets used to haul and tow, and just about everything in between. What choice would everyone choose and why? Thanks for the input in advance.

Re: Lift question

Yep go talk to the guys at ORD. Shackle flip and springs would be your best bet for overall ride quality. They can give you the right combo of shackle flip and spring to get what you want.

I'm running an ORD flip out back with stock rear springs and the rear axle ride quality is great when combined with Bilstein shocks.

Im running their cross over steering set up, nice stuff really. On the shackle flip your running, how is the axle wrap?

What axle wrap? But in my case with a 5.3 that might be putting 300hp out at the crank and a truck that wieghs 6,500 pounds or higher my truck isn't going to have too much of an issue with spring wrap.

Re: Lift question

never ever had probs with axle wrap wit my s. flips.
if you haul and tow and your springs are in good shape, i would do a 4" shackle flip with a small block to level you up.
i wore out a set of lift springs reeeal fast hauling my camper and towing my quad trailer.
flips and blocks would be a whole lot cheaper than new springs anyways and your ride will be smoother with stock springs than lifted ones
