Howdy from Texas

Hello,
Starting a resto old a 58 Apache. The truck runs and is about 80% complete with a mix of original (cab, doors, and hood) and reproduction parts ( fenders, bed, interior) Some bodywork has been done but I’m afraid it was done incorrectly and it’s showing. The paint is showing problems and I may have to strip it down to metal. I plan to repaint the truck but there’s a few things I have to do first. I’m not happy with body/panel gaps, some are ok and will pass ( I want a driver not a show truck ) but others like the hood to fender gaps are huge. Also the drivers door has uneven gaps and pass side door is hitting at top. I plan to tow the truck to my garage soon and work on it here. I can’t get any work done where it’s at now because friends and family keep dropping by and won’t let me work in peace. I really just want a decent driver that’s close to stock looking, I’m not into dropped down, shaved doors, and huge rims. I’m older now and want a classic look.
