Re: bought this today

If the motor has been sitting for longer than a few months, make sure you use a drill motor to spin the oil pump for a few min before firing it over to get the oil circulating. A friend of mine did not do this and he had a lot of valve knocking for about 2-weeks before it finally cleared itself up. He always wondered if any permanent damage was top to the top end.
Valve covers and brackets look great!

Guess I was thinking about Gen 1 SBC.

Separate Q:
Do you have any idea where the rear roll pan came from?
I'm finding them for pickups but I'm not sure it will fit on a suburban.

Yes I bought the one for my 72 burb from grant customs. Although on that one I had them put the section in it for a tag. Not cheap though about $300 shipped

Re: bought this today

Pictures with the headers on and most of the wires cleaned up.

I finally got the lt1 to run. The street and performance harness had two wires off going into the ecu. What a pain to track down. I have to now get the ecu reflashed for the mods I did.

Re: bought this today

Having the lift makes this process a lot easier but the down side is finding all the problems from previous owners. How about this picture with the door measurement!!!

I wouldn't advise doing this to two barn doors to anyone. One of the tougher parts of the build
