Re: 1970 Blazer seat interchange question

69-72 Blazers came with two bucket seat options, the base bucket often referred to as the utility bucket...and the sport bucket. The utility bucket (top pic below) was wider, not tapered, and had a metal back. The sport bucket(bottom pic in top of the line CST trim) was generally the mid-level and top line seat option. The sport bucket frames were unchanged through Gen 1, but the foam and upholstery were different between 69-70 and 71-72. The rear seat only varied in upholstery depending on trim level.

The truck sport buckets are the same during this period except for passenger mounting brackets and seat back covering.

You can put any seats you want in your truck. Common custom choices are later model Tahoe seats front and rear because of integral shoulder belts which are there even when the top is not. There are several threads I'm sure detailing this conversion.

There also plenty of people running aftermarket or racing style buckets front and rear.

Later 70's Blazer seats are very similar and will go in will little mod or fuss...It all depends on what you want.
