72 K5 Drag links

Okay everyone laugh at once and get it out....okay,
I am replacing my front and rear drag links on my 72 K5. I removed them, purchased new ones and now can't remember which is the front(connects to pitman arm) and rear (connects to steering arm. One is a couple inches longer. Is it that important. Only thing I see it doing is changing the direction you adjust for lengthening and shortening.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Re: 72 K5 Drag links

I'm going off memory, because my Blazer is at my daughter's house right now, but I think the short one was to the front. I don't think it would matter all that much, though.

If you don't get a definite response, I'll drop by and look at it tomorrow and get back to you.

Re: 72 K5 Drag links

Long one on the steering arm. I just took my axle out yesterday, from what i can tell the nuckel/collar would hit the steering arm if you used the short one there.
