Re: gas 3.46
Currently the station near my work is at 3.33. Im not wishing anything, because the next thing you know it will be back up around 4.00
When I went to Carlisle this past weekend, I filled up locally at 3.37 before hitting the road for 2 hours. I had 1/2 a tank which would have been more than enough to go and come back but I decided to top it off anyways. Got down to carlisle and gas was around 3.10-3.15.

I pay around that for it everytime I fill up. I saw $3.46 I was like "Wow, cheap gas!" and he was complaining about it being expensive. I am just glad to find some 93 octane to run. I had to put 87 in my truck a few weeks ago and it was dying on me it ran so horribly. (That was after 5 gas stations). DLB Last edited by Orange; 10-07-2008 at 03:58 PM. |

Re: gas 3.46
close to the coast as I am, the gas stations are finally holding onto gas so this should filter up to the rest of the south eastern states within the next week or two.
The real reason for cheaper prices right now? Someone in Washington (the same one that is getting blasted for all hes done wrong) has spoken to big oil and asked them to cut back on the prices to help stave off the current economic problems which would have global effects if it continues much longer. I speculate that we will see it stop dropping around $2.75 to $3/gal locally (+/- 25 cents in most states)

Re: gas 3.46
Take this with a grain of salt. I talked with a guy today that runs a trucking company and hes saying it's gonna keep dropping and after the election it will start rising again.

Re: gas 3.46
There is a bit of a gas war going on in NW Houston. A Chevron station had regular at $2.98. The Shell station across the street put a banner over their price sign that reads "Our Regular is $0.01 cheaper than theirs". Keeps them from having to keep changing the price.

It's 3.19 on Woodruff at the places I normally go to, but according to gasbuddy.com it's 2.99 at several places in my area!
