Saw that. What's the deal with the what-u-call-it mounted on the side?

That’s funny Pete. I was thinking when I read your original post, I’m pretty sure I know where it’s new home is going to be! Even at the buy it now price that isn’t a bad deal at all in my book. You almost never see the factory fms and too have the whole thing brand new uninstalled in gm packaging... yea enough said!

Re: Don't see a NOS FM radio too often...

$530 at 7 bids. I've got that much in having a USED one re-built. It's nice but is not NOS in shrink wrap. Be interesting what the ending bid goes to.

You're right, probably doesn't work. So far $760 for a radio that doesn't work

Re: Don't see a NOS FM radio too often...

It's not terribly humid in Northern NM and the chassis looks a lot less rusty than some of mine. If acquired locally at a small dealer it may have come from Taos. I'll bet it works.

Re: Don't see a NOS FM radio too often...

Maybe it wasnt AM/FM but someone posted a really low mileage truck on here one time that had a new in box radio still sitting in the floor board. I think the story was a farmer had a truck that broke down in town and he bought a new one to drive home. He didn't really need it after his truck got fixed so it sat in the barn. Or maybe that was the story from another really low mileage truck.

Nah, it doesn't work. Besides, look at the rust Seriously, IMO if it doesn't work then it's a manufacturing defect. While this would be cool to own, it's not for me nor a risk I would take. I like my AM radios just fine.

Still curious what's mounted onto the RH side. Looks like a vent system of sorts. How does the radio mount?

Looks like the FM indicator will be fallen off by the time someone receives it.
