Question max wheel & tire size ?

have 48 5 window deluxe shortbed PU with
custom frame, 69 chevelle posi 336 rear end,79 trans-am front end with 454 big block
Want to use amerian torque II wheels
need some guide on how large dia size, width, inset & tire size could be used comfortably. Also what size difference between the front & rear would look the best; have adjustable shocks rear & 2"dropped spindles
Everything is in assembly now.

I have all the same questions! I spoke with a fellow at the local Discount Tire store, he said just bring it in and they can do all the measurements for me. So if you can get it to a tire shop that would be the easy way out. I'm taking this route

Heatwave's on the right track. Let the pros check it for you. All that I can add is that it starts getting tough with tires over 8" wide. In today's world, that's downright skinny.

When you have the rear tires and wheels in place PLEASE take a photo fo the rear wheel and fender with the MAX tire and wheel. I want to see how noticable the tire is off set in the wheel well to the front.
Thanks
