Talking Hello, I am new to this forum

I hope I am doing this in the right place. I just wanted to say hi. my name is Randy. I am and have been building a 53 chevy pickup for several years. I have done all the work myself. IT has a 70 camaro front clip, a mild 350, a turbo 350 ( I built both ) and a 10 bolt 308 gm rear end. i have done a little custom work like shave drip rails and door handles and smooth hood. I am still doing body work but it is getting close. Maybe i can learn some stuff from you fellas and who knows, I may be able to help some of you. I have worked as an automotive mechanic, machinist, welder, fabricator, automatic trans. specialist (before over drive ), and a few other odds and ends. And I live in west central Georgia.

Welcome to the board! I've been on the board for almost a year now and I've have learned a HUGE amount from the folks here. There's a lot of good stuff over in the FAQ area that might help you out as well.
Enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome. I don't know when or if i will be able to post pics. Our camera is not working and I wouldn't know how anyway. I usualy can't get near the computer at home---kids. So I look at it at work if I get a chance. Heatwave, it may be a while before i can get to Dallas. I don't wander too far from home. If any of you fellas have a chrome cover in pretty good shape for my ash tray (47-53) I need one. i think they were on 47 - 51 and not 52 or 53. If anyone has one please let me know. Thanks!

Try Heavy Chevy in Arkansas. I'm on the road right now and don't have access to my catalog. I think I remember seeing one in there. I haven't looked at it in a long time but, they do have a website.
