How many different bed lenths

Hi all, just want to check real quick, are there 3 bed lengths for the 47-55 trucks? the way it looks to me there is the short bed, the medium bed, and the LONG bed. is this true, or is it just an illusion on some trucks looking longer? thanks!

Re: How many different bed lenths

I think there are two lengths for 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks (6' and 8') and a very long 9' bed for 1 ton.

For TF trucks, the 3 lengths are 77",89" and 97"

I've seen TF trucks with the 97" bed in 1/2" ton trucks and they are marked 3200 same as with the 89".

I got this from a site that sells bed wood:

1947-1953 1/2 T Short Bed 77"
1947-1953 3/4,1 T Long Bed 85 3/4"
1954-1959 1/2 T Short Bed 77 1/8"
1954-1957 1/2,3/4 T Long Bed 89"
1957-1959 2nd Series 1/2, 3/4 T Long Bed 97"
1954-1959 1 T 107 1/4"
1960-1966 1/2, 3/4 T Short Bed Step Side 77 1/8"
1960-1966 1/2, 3/4 T Long Bed Step Side 97"
1960-1966 1/2, 3/4 T Short Bed Fleet Side 77 1/8"
1960-1966 1/2, 3/4 T Long Bed Fleet Side 97"
1967-1972 1/2, 3/4 T Short Bed Step Side 77 1/8"
1967-1972 1/2, 3/4 T Long Bed Step Side 97"
1967-1972 1/2, 3/4 T Short Bed Fleet Side 77 1/8"

Re: How many different bed lenths

click the link in my signature, scroll down to the year index tab, choose a year and look at the index. There are specs for each model and bed configuration. Lots of other good info too that make me look smart...
