What are these in my bed?
These two thin metal plates in the center of the photo are near the rear axle. Looks like they are nailed to the bottom of the wood floor. Does anyone know the purpose of these?

Heat deflector for the exhaust as far as I could guess. I have the same on my 62 suburban
