Water temp sensor
Does anyone make a water temp sensor that will screw into the head on the passenger side rear of an LS1 that I can wire into a gauge ?
If not what have others done to get water temp to your gauges ?

Re: Water temp sensor
Another off-the-shelf" option, is to use the 1998-2002 Camaro/Firebird temp sender. This has three pins. Two pins go to the ECM like normal. The third pin goes to your temperature gauge. As far as I know, this sender is compatible with any of the LS computers. The sender is also compatible with the 80's squarebody gauge. I don't know about other years. If the ohm specs match up with your temperature gauge, this would be the smoothest and most elegant solution.

Re: Water temp sensor
That sender will not work with the factory temp gauge in the OP's '63 GMC

Re: Water temp sensor
Figured it might not. I thought I'd mention it to cover all bases, though.
