Satin Black or Semi-Gloss Black Powdercoated Inner Fenders?

Trying to decide which color to have my inner fenders powdercoated. The guy has satin black which he says is 20% gloss and that's what the "resto" guys use. He also has 40%, 60%, and 90% gloss. He says 60% is semi-gloss and 90% is what the guys use for full full gloss. Would love to see pictures of your inner fenders that are black powdercoated in satin or semi-gloss only.

Here is an example of satin inner fenders, and semi-gloss frame and suspension components, which I think is pretty badass:

I prefer the semi-glass myself. It always seems to clean up easier to me than the satin.

Resto, Resto-Mod, or full custom?

If Resto, or Resto-Mod, I'd recommend Satin. Full Custom I would go Semi-Gloss or Gloss.

It's resto mod, but I like the body and interior to look original when I do resto mod. The motor will be LS, but when I got the inner fenders back from powdercoat I realized that they will completely distract from the motor itself. I requested semi-gloss but I should have done satin. I'm gonna get some other inner fenders and have them done satin and choose between the two. Because the semi-gloss came out really shiny. They'll dominate the engine bay IMO.

Yes, they look good of course. They're fresh and shiny no one can argue that. But I'm looking for that very specific balance between restored and restored-modified. And it's easy to overdo things with the shine...

After you make your pick let me know how much you want for the ones you don't choose.

This is the reason why satin looks so good on resto / resto-mod vehicles. The LS engine can be high calibre or can be pretty muted looking in the engine bay... depends on the cover mostly. With a 350 or something small block, getting shiny stuff around the sides can be distracting to the centerpiece. Satin is always a good choice, even if it is a full custom, but shiny looks great to, depending on the amount of chrome and/or bright colors you add to the engine.

This is all personal preference, mind you.

You could have them for the price of powdercoat, which is $30 / each
