Rear axle swap question

Iíve got a 2007 1500 Classic, so really itís an Ď06 2wd crew cab. I want to swap the rear ended for better towing capacity. Iíve found a 2002 with 4.10s and a G80 at the cash n carry yard. I currently have drums and am ok with that. The donor however has disc, not that I donít want disc I just donít think I need them right now.

The question, can I unbolt the disc components fron the donor truck and bolt my drum backing to the axle tubes? Are the axles and axle housing tubes length the same as mine with drums?
