How To Post Pictures

How to post pics ,

1st thing is to remember a family friendly standard is required here . Anything less will be removed .

Picture size is important , The best size for the site is 640 X 480 .

If you are starting a new thread find the " New Thread " button and click it .

Name: blurb.jpg
Views: 4663
Size: 48.4 KB

If you are replying to another's thread and wish to post a picture Find the reply box after the last post in said thread . Then click " Go Advanced "

Name: Blurb 1.jpg
Views: 4634
Size: 29.6 KB

Either way brings you to the Advanced page . You may have to scroll down a bit to get to the " Manage Attachments " button .

Name: blurb 2.jpg
Views: 4600
Size: 30.9 KB

Clicking the " Manage Attachments " button will bring up a drop down box .

Name: blurb 3.jpg
Views: 4927
Size: 35.0 KB

Click the " Choose File " button and you will find yourself in the files on your computer .

Name: blurb 4.jpg
Views: 5061
Size: 51.5 KB

Click on the picture you want to post ..

Re: How To Post Pictures

. The name or number of your picture will appear beside the " Choose file " button . Click on the " Upload " button .

Name: blurb 5.jpg
Views: 4452
Size: 38.2 KB

When the Picture has uploaded to to site the name or picture number will move to the " current attachment box " in the drop down .

Name: blurb 6.jpg
Views: 4547
Size: 36.5 KB

You can upload up to 5 pictures at once . Just remember , You have to upload one at a time . Picture , upload , picture , upload . I have uploaded three in this one . When done close the drop down .

Name: blurb 7.jpg
Views: 4707
Size: 35.9 KB

From there add the text to your post and click the " Submit New thread "
button

Name: blurb 8.jpg
Views: 4553
Size: 31.9 KB

Re: How To Post Pictures

Your photos show to be 267x200, the forum will only down size not upsize inages. It appears your inages are smaller than thw boards maximum before being uploaded.

Re: How To Post Pictures

Understood. This pic shows to be 640 x 480 on hard hard drive but the forum shrinks it to 269 x 202. Could it be that I'm resizing them wrong or something?

Re: How To Post Pictures

Ok, so it seems that PICRESIZE.COM works fine on batches but does something wonky on single pics.

Re: How To Post Pictures

since I joined this forum, I have had difficulty posting pictures from my iPhone that are in portrait mode. the upload always flips them to landscape. Today I did some experimenting, saving images as jpg, jpeg, png. They all behaved the same way...looks good on my computer, upload 'em and they get shifted to landscape. I even flipped the images prior to upload, but that didn't help either.

I finally found something that works for me - I just saved them to GIF format. Not sure if it's the smaller file size that GIF stores them or waht, but it did the trick for me. Here's the proof: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...31#post8080531

Thanks all. I will try again to add them. After waiting for some time to upload them it was telling me I was missing some security token or something of that sort.

Re: How To Post Pictures

I am wanting to start a build thread and would like to know if the above information is still the current (prefered) way to post pictures for a thread? i believe photobucket is not an option unless you pay still??

thanks!
