90% rust free sounds much better than saying 10% rusted.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Ya I was thinking of going to get it myself. But decided with the trip 7 hours I just better keep my cab. The light blue interior is door panels are still like new. Typical dash cracks thou. Bottom drivers floor rough as is the driver cab support rotted , but most of the the rest of the truck is descent. Truck hasn't seen the road I think in about 10 years is what he told me. He was having problems with the DMV is why he hasn't put it on the road.

I know of the Bonanza, I'm just saying it LOOKS like a Ford minus a blue oval.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

I've always thought of Ford as being the cheap (quality wise) company. Looks to me Chevy figured the same and used the cheap(quality wise) Ford parts to create the Bonanza for use in countries where the cheaper quality resulted in cheaper priced vehicles.

Y'all go easy on lucho -- last time I looked, there's no "How about some pics of Bonanzas" thread. He's proud of his chevy, just like the rest of us.

Lucho, welcome to the board from Tennessee!

And just so I don't get in trouble, here's a static-dropped crew: from Nashville CL:

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

How many of y'all have heard of the Texas Stagecoach. Well a friend of mines mom has this truck. She has had it for years. It is a 1989 3500 2ed with the 454 in it. I do not know much about the Texas Stagecoach. I'm sure it was a great looking truck back in it's day. It has been driven all over Texas a lot.

Here are pics. Its been sitting since 95 with exception of my friend doing a little work on it in 08

From what I saw in it when I went back to take a look at it a few hours ago. I couldn't remember much about it. It has fancy seats that are really cumfy although they are torn up now. It has the radar in the overhead still. Cooler in the center console. Not to many issues I saw on it. I will most likely be buying this truck in the next few months.

Thanks thirdstreettito, great site.

However, I guess im going to look for a civilian long bed ext cab diesel to get a bit more comfort on long trips by A/C and cruise control.

Anyway, thanks again for your kindly assistance

+1, I didn't mean to be hard on him or anything, just wanted to express my opinion about the truck. I didn't mean any offense to him, I'm very glad he's so proud of his Chevy...I just wouldn't be, lol.

thats what I was saying.

Lucho, I'm sorry if I offended you, but hopefully you can see where I was coming from. I was looking for my daily dose of 73-91 crewcab photos, and your (small) photos appeared to me to be of a Ford Bronco. Maybe if the photos had opened larger for me and I could see the Chevy emblem on the grille, I wouldn't have called it a Ford.
Actually I had never heard of the Argentinian version of the Bonanza, well aware Chevy used the name on our trucks in the 70s. I have never been to Argentina and no one ever felt it important enough to make me aware that Chevrolet had made some kind of a mutant truck there and called it a Bonanza. It might say Chevy on it, but I don't buy it.
Again, I'm sorry if my ignorance of your truck offended you, but I still don't think it can be classified as a 73-91 crewcab Chevy/GMC.

When I was a kid my friend put a Corvette emblem on the back of a Dodge Omni. Still wouldn't turn worth a damn, and the acceleration did not improve at all. Sadly, his cheap imitation of a Corvette was not really a Corvette.

thought i read that they combined some "moulds" make them unique
thought the front looked like a range rover
i would be glad they are different, means we each need our own parts might be harder to get "our" type if all countrys used them
i enjoy reading about other types of GM,I havn't been to Argentinia but have seen other countries versions

I do too. I am going to go by there before my leave is over and clean her up a little and get a list of everything that is wrong. That way I can start getting parts while in Iraq. By time I get back she should look like a brand new truck

You guys are super mean. How would you feel if you went on a forum from another country and all they did was tell you your truck looked like crap? I bet you wouldn't like it.

Well, I guess that's why I stick to American forums, because they probably would, haha. But in all honesty, I didn't mean to offend him or anything, just stating my opinions on the Bonanza. I'm sure that truck has it's own nook around here, it's just not with us pickup guys.
