Side mount spare wheel lock

Does anyone have a picture of a side mount spare wheel lock RPO A97.
My truck came equipped with that. Just need to know what I should be looking for at the swap meets.

Re: Side mount spare wheel lock

This is what was used up to 64. Not sure what changes they made after but I have it and it works nice.

Re: Side mount spare wheel lock

I saw those when you posted you were looking for one. Still would like to see what was used in 67. I may modify a mid year corvette spare locking set up. The key can be matched to the glovebox lock.

Re: Side mount spare wheel lock

My 67 option and accessory book shows this chain wrapped in vinyl with a pad lock for 67. I thought the 63 down was way better and no chain scratching the paint. I had one but once I found the 63 style I let it go.

Re: Side mount spare wheel lock

That is so cheesy on the Generals part lol. I see that now in the accessories brochure.
The one you have is way cooler
I think I'm going to modify the corvette one to fit. Just need to find a lug nut like the one you have.
Thanks for the info.

The GM part number for the 7/16-20 spare tire lug nut is #3682846.

Re: Side mount spare wheel lock

I couldn't find one, so I used the tuner type lug nuts which require a special socket.
