8 lug wheel question

anybody know if 8 lug aluminum wheels off off of a 2007 chevy truck will fit my 72 c20? I know some late model wheels fit just not sure about 2007 model.

They will BUT, the offset is really a little too far in tucking the wheels kinda far inside the fender, from what i have come to understand some people don't mind it too much but others have been bothered by it and got some spacers to bring the wheel out.

You will also need a set of special lugnuts that adapts to the wheels and your lugs. I got mine from lugnutking on eBay.

so the lug nuts that came with the 2007 will not work?

No, different threads. One is a metric and the old truck is a standard[SAE] thread.

I got these 2008 17"x7.5 dirt cheap and they fit great, mounted 285x70's on them. Perfect fit for me.

Well; I rushed over and bought these for $100. came with tires ; caps and lug nuts. lowest price I could find and I have been looking. I shined the one on the left to see how they would look.

Be sure 9/16" is the correct size. They used 1/2" through 1970 and 9/16" in 71 and 72. However, a lot can happen in 40 plus years.

finally got lug nuts and got tires and wheels installed. P26575R16 tires I am satisfied with offset.dont seem to sit too far in to me. now I am looking for some dually caps for the rear.

The dually caps are too big in diameter to fit those wheels. I have both style caps. You will have to try a different style or make a spacer in the rear. Trevor

YES, space the wheel out then the hub sticking thru is not so deep
