thoughts on rear disc problem

So I did a rear disc conversion on my 31 crew it got 3/4 ton calipers in the rear and new crossed drilled an slotted rotors and hawk pads on all 4 wheels I also put a disc disc master cylinder and also disc disc prproportion Valve . My problem is im getting alot of squeaking from the rear brakes and the rear has more brake dust the truck stops awesome now but the constant sqeeking is driving me nuts. At first i thought maybe the pads but the front has the same and no noise any thoughts why ?

Re: thoughts on rear disc problem

Are you running new rotors? If not, you might have yours machined to remove the glaze on them.

Its sounds like too much rear bias.

Re: thoughts on rear disc problem

Yes all 4 rotors are new. So if its too much rear bias even with the disc disc prop valve what are my options ? Adjustable prop valve ?

Re: thoughts on rear disc problem

I did not know disc was a factory option on 3/4 ton trucks in 91. Or was it? When you say you got disc disc MC and prop valve installed are they factory parts or aftermarket?

Re: thoughts on rear disc problem

Lots times its the piston on the back pad not the disc we used lube them but most pads have a plate on back now.
