Project: Bucket List

I call this the Bucket List because its a bondo bucket and it seem that this truck has done everything that it wanted to do before it dies, except one last thing. The dying wishes of this truck as it was nearing the end of its life and soon heading to the scrap yard was that it wanted to become a 1 ton dually. So I picked this thing up for free 90 free and brought it to the ER.

As you can see it is very rough.

Here is a pic of what it wants to look like, but satin black.

Here I decided to go ahead and start removing pounds of bondo. It appears that the drivers door has been opened a little to far. You can also see on the rear bed side where i used a wire wheel to "test" and see how deep the bondo was...... I decided to use and air hammer.

Here is a video of the Air Hammer Vs. Bondo

Re: Project: Bucket List

I'm speechless. That's the thickest bondo I've ever seen.

WOW!
That must add hundreds of pounds to the truck.

Re: Project: Bucket List

I wasn't too impressed until I saw the video. Holy Crap!

That poor truck was a sculpture. Most Bondo gets sanded off during the bodywork process. How many gallons do you think they used on that thing?
