I am looking for an original fuel tank skid plate for my 71 cst blazer. I am interested in buying or trading if anyone has one.
Thanks

I didn't know there was such a thing. Add that to my "want" list.

I have only seen one, and I was outbid on ebay. Not all blazers or jimmy's came with them, so they are tough to find.

skid plate

I am pretty sure they were included in the "skid plate" option. I have seen a few but I think almost all of them rusted out, they were basically just a tub that moulded around the bottom of the tank. Dirt and moisture got stuck up in them and rusted them out.

come on Leinie, we need some parts.

Seriously, you'll be sorry if you sell everything. You should finish one and part off what's left to us.

Leinie- Maybe you (or someone) has pics of what the skid plate looks like and I can fab them up for a reasonable price. Let me know who is interested and what a good cost is and if I look at the pics maybe I can make one (or two or three )

Here are a couple of pics of mine. It came off a blazer with skid plate listed and didn't have a transfer case skidplate. It is in very good condition.

If you need more pictures, I can help with them.

Yeah, it looks like it will support the blazer if you chose to lift the whole truck by the fuel tank. At a guess it weighs 20 lbs.

I'll take some pics this weekend.

skid plate

I'd like to have one of those skid plates, original or repro. Are there any for sale? If so, how much.

Kilomanjaro,
You have email and are 1st shot on it.
If that falls through. The next in line is LT 72, then New Bomb.
When I get the truck unloaded, ill post pictures. Its is a factory stock item off a 71 Blazer. Great shape

Didn't "wildbill" start this thread? Shouldn't he have a shot at it if he wants it?
