79 K10 Warn Lockers wont come out - Help

On my K10 I need to replace the rotors, so I have to remove the Warn Locking Hubs assembly. Typically no problem, remove the bolts take off the snap ring from the axle and remove the outer retaining ring from the hub. On some Warn kits for Chevy's the inner snap ring will not fit due to lack of clearance, Warn instructions say if this is the case you do not need it.

In my situation I had a mechanic (since retired) install the Warn Hubs replacing Mile Marker, Got the snap rings out (Mechanic had ground the snap ring eyelet holes slightly to get it to fit. Got them out no problem, issue is there is no outer retaining ring on the hub and I cannot get the hubs out will not budge. I can see the grove for the ring on the hubs but no ring.

Any ideas before I have to ruin a good pair of Warn hubs??
