It also allows you to use the "LS" compressor without cutting the chassis.

67C10BUB.... did you have to cut the frame to clearance for the compressor with the Doc's blocks?

Yes, but just barely. I had to cut about 1/2" off of the "lip" in that area. Post #61 has a good picture of what I did.

I'm glad I could be your inspiration. I am really happy with the way it is turning out so far. I drive it to work every day, so the drivability, easy starting, and gas mileage are very nice...The AC is just icing on the cake.

Your truck has inspired me to get back to work on mine as well.

Thanks for the motivation

Great info, thanks for sharing. I've got an LS/4L60E install in the planning stage and am just starting to gather all the info I can.

Thanks, I appreciate the motivation. Your build is impressive as well. I am working on redoing my custom center console and putting in the Brothers one piece window kit. I'll post pics when I'm done.

Re: '67 5.3L Build Thread

Super nice project you have going on. Lots of great info.
I was wondering, can the compressor be removed with the engine installed in the truck?
If it ever needs replacing can you get out with out pulling the motor loose?
Thanks and keep up the great work.

I have the Brothers kit in my truck. When do you plan on ordering it?

I don't think it will be easy, but it is definitely possible. There is actually quite a bit of room around the compressor, so it can certainly be done.

Re: '67 5.3L Build Thread

These are some pics that I am including for future reference. The first one is how I mounted the actuator for the power door locks and the other is to show how much needs to be ground off of the drag link to clear the one-piece windows.

Re: '67 5.3L Build Thread

Just went through your entire build thread. Your motor install is very clean and looks like a factory install. Everything is well planned and thought out. Ive been wanting to do an Ls swap myself and you have given so much knowledge in your rightup that I believe I can get it done. Thanks

The glove box came with the Old Air A/C kit, but you may be able to order it separately.

This truck is for sale, so I am posting some more recent pics to show the 1 piece windows and current interior. All this could be yours for only $20000.

Re: '67 5.3L Build Thread

It is my daily driver, but it ended up closer to a show truck. I just dont want to ruin it, or have it stolen driving it every day. Besides, I could really use the money.
