Re: 67-72 frame conversion for 63 Knee Knocker Cab and Bed

I have done this frame swap over a dozen times...

if you are doing 1/2 ton to 1/2 ton, one of the holes on the cab mount brackets line up.

It is 1/2 ton to 1/2 ton. Not sure if I get your answer, can you be more specific? Talking of front or rear brackets?

The 67-72 frames are nearly identicle to the 63-72 frames with the following exceptions.

1- the frame horns are 1" lower and have a different profile on the end.
2- the core support perches (brackets) are different and located wrong for the 63-66 core support
3- the rear cab mount perches. (brackets) The 67-72 rear cab mount perches are too low and the hole is in the wrong place for the 60-66 cab
4- the addition of the radiator support member is required unless the 60-62 radiator that bolts to the core support is used..

The front cab perches and nearly everything else on the 63-72 frames is the same.

Change out the rear cab perches and the core support perches, address how the radiator will mount and make some bumper brackets from some old 63-66 frame horns and it's a done deal and no welding required..
