What are this # on the piston - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I bought a couple of 57 trucks one does not run, it was left under a tree for years without the hood and for sometime without the dist., it had a double carb set up and all that rain water going down thru there, this truck has operating air bag system, with a notch on the frame, along with good alum radiator, chrome pulleys, etc etc with that in mind, and because the other truck engine has good amount of $ into it, I believe the truck that is not running might have good brand or quality internals, took the head off and its bad , now I am just wondering what the numbers 05-347-07-c on top of the piston might mean.

Looks like flat-top "double eyebrow" to me but I didn't get anywhere with the number on Google.

Is that a sleeve I see?

I know they r 345np .30 but was just wondering what that 2nd set of numbers meant,

Going by the rust in the port in the head on the other side need to pull it also. looks like the engine may have got rained in. I think the engine is going to need to come out.

The truck is actually getting a swap, 5.3 6.0 or 6.2 still not decided on which one, i did a 5.3 swap on an 84 about 8 years ago and really loved it,
I just took the head off because my 10 old wanted to see the pistons

The pistons are Federal Mogal hypereutectic coated .
