NP205 Chrome shifters 71/72 and 12 bolt posi carrier for 3.73

Going through spare parts. Have available:

1) Chrome NP205 shifters correct for 71/72 CST (no knobs at his time) $100 plus shipping each

2) Posi carrier for 12 bolt rear with OEM 3.73 gears. I bought this from another member almost one year ago for my K10 but never installed it and I'm selling the truck. Just want what I have in it: $300 plus cost to ship.

Will post pics if anyone interested. If not sold soon I'm boxing them up for my move to MT. I have other available parts left over from my K20 build not needed for my K5.

Thanks, Pete

I noticed looks like the one spring on the left is different than the one on the right in the first pic looks like it has more coils or is that just a illusion? How much should shipping be to 85308 In AZ?

Maybe just rotated so looks like a lower coil count? I will check spring when I'm home to be certain - will work on shipping quote as well. Pete

Good eye! Ran home for lunch: that one spring differs in coil count but length is similar. Does this matter?

Ha! Managed to find room in a box bound for MT...I'm moving in October. Will keep you in mind. If that was a 72 GB door I would - novel to me for being a 71. I've got several other super doors just not blue. I'll sell off more parts once settled in up there. Pete

Re: NP205 Chrome shifters 71/72 and 12 bolt posi carrier for 3.73

I am not a expert but I'm afraid the clutch disks might wear unevenly due to the springs having different tension? Or is this how it's supposed to be?

Honestly I have no idea. I looked here for pics of a rebuild kit for help didn't see any detailed pic: http://www.ringpinion.com/Default.aspx

I could post pics up on the board for clarification...I sent a PM to the original seller for clarification.

Re: NP205 Chrome shifters 71/72 and 12 bolt posi carrier for 3.73

Pics for Dantip. Dan, both have some "dullness" to the chrome that I attribute to rubbing of the boots. Neither has any peeling or gouges. One has a few focal areas of maybe pitting. Slight scratches to each that I believe would buff out on a wheel. Thanks, Pete

Thanks!! I'll need it - hope to beat any major snowfall.

I suspect the one spring has an increased # of coils as the wire diameter is narrow and more needed to achieve same tension. Here's what the prior owner said about the carrier:

"Pete,

That was exactly how it came out of the diff. I didnt do anything to it but pull it apart, clean it up for shipping and re-assemble. I do not run posi's so I dont have any carrier parts for them at all. I prefer open carriers with 3.42 gears to match my 700r4's...."

These parts will be packed up today if no "I'll take it"'s....will then offer them up again in the spring
