Unhappy Anyone hear from 530FF recently

I bought a 80 lb oil pressure gauge from Richard and paid him via paypal.

I sent him a message on the 29th of September and noticed he was on line on 10/01 but did not respond to my message.

Just wondering if others have heard from him and received parts they paid for. If I need to report to paypal, I need to do it before it is too late.

I am not one to bad mouth people before I know the facts but something does not feel right. I hope the man is OK.

Thank you in advance,
Tom

Re: Anyone hear from 530FF recently

I also sent payment for a set of nos 67/68 trim. I have sent a few IM's and got no response. He has logged on since I sent them. I hope everything is ok with him but a response would be appropriate in this situation. I will give him a couple more days before I dispute the payment with Paypal. If anyone has contact with him let us know. Thanks.

I agree,

No response to a PM that I posted prior to his last log in.

I need to also follow up with a paypal dispute.

Thank you for your input CheyenneSper72

Take care,
Tom

Re: Anyone hear from 530FF recently

I just got a message from 530FF and he let me know that he had some personal issues and that he would be sending my oil pressure gauge tomorrow.

I just wanted to give an update to those also waiting on him, if they have not been notified.

Take care,
Tom

Update,

I got this message from Richard on 10-8-14

"Hi Tom
Called out of town with helicopter problems before I could ship guauge, just got back last night and will ship tommorow
Apologies on delay
Richard"

I still have not received my part and to my own fault paid for this in a way that did not protect my purchase. Shame on me. Once bitten, you know the rest.

Just beware of this for future reference. I know there are others that had deals with 530FF.

My latest action was a message to Richard asking for my tracking number.

Keep me posted if you here from him

Thank you,
Tom

Buyer beware of 530FF

I hate to bash but I will say that I am still waiting for my 80 lb oil pressure gauge that I bout from Richard almost a month ago.

I recently sent a message asking for a tracking number. If you are going to sell parts to someone then be tentative to that. I understand everyone of us have a personal life but if you are so busy you cannot manage your sales, then don't sell parts and do what you say you are going to.

If the man had said to me "Yes I can sell you the 80 lb gauge but it will be 2 months before I can send it, then the ball is in my court and I decide if I wait that long. If the seller says to me, sorry I had an emergency but will get you part shipped tomorrow, do what you say you are going to do.

Sorry for the rant and just a side note, my money/purchase was not protected. It is not the loss of the money that my gripe is over. It is about a grown man doing what he says he will do and being accountable for his actions.

Good luck if you have bought any thing from 530FF recently.

Take care,
Tom

I took a hit for $60.00. Not the end of the world for me. I hope others I have discussed this with get a resolution.

Take care,

Thank you Liz. If the seller has personal issues that prevent him from doing what he said he was going to do, I understand and can wait for him to get his personal issues resolved but I do not in my heart believe that is the case.

I am not going to go into details on my purchase details and how I paid. it is irreverent and I have accepted the loss for what it is. I just want others to be warned and use caution when making purchases from this seller.

Thank you for any assistance.
Take care,
Tom

Re: Anyone hear from 530FF recently

I also have sent him a couple pm's since I got a message from 530FF with about the same content as what he sent Tom. I paid for a set of 67/68 NOS fender mouldings about a month ago. Same story here. Looks like I am going to lose $100 on the deal. I am in the same boat as Tom being that I paid through Paypal as a gift. Lesson learned. Hopefully there is something going on with him and he will resolve the issue. If not he doesn't belong on this forum. I have been on here for years and this is the first time I have ever had problems with a private seller.

Re: Anyone hear from 530FF recently

The issue here is not really if you paid by gift or not. We all know its not allowed and we all know you have no recourse at that point. The issue is if the deals have not been taken care of, the user does not need to be a seller. We all have issues, and sometimes life happens. Truthful communication solves most issues.

Plenty of time has past to resolve this on 530FF (Richard's) end.

My whole point to all of this was to inform others to be careful if they purchase something from 530FF, nothing more. I understand very well that I lost my ability to dispute with paypal because of the choice I made to pay. I have learned from this and will never pay in that matter again.

I sincerely hope that Richard (530FF) is OK and that he is simply taking advantage of people. I would feel bad to know that he had some issue that prevented him from doing the right thing.

As of now, I consider it a loss and want to put this to rest and move on.

Take care,
Tom

Re: Anyone hear from 530FF recently

I'm not bringing up, nor really care (that sounds harsh but I really dont mean it that way) how anyone paid. My concern is you are not the only one whom has paid for items that were not received. Warnings are great, but we dont allow folks whom commit fraud to remain members. Therefor, I am involved.

I too hope he is ok, and that he is able to make good etc. You never know what happens in someones life. However, in the end you still paid for products not received.

Hi Liz,

Please let me know if there is anything else you need from me concerning this matter.

Thank you,

I take it from the lack of updates on this thread that nobody has heard from him either?

I have tried calling several times and I also sent him a nice email. No response on either part. I think everyone who dealt with recently can probably count this as a lesson learned. Does anyone know someone in El Cajon, CA?

Bummer to read this thread. Unfortunately I've been there too. Fortunately, the bad apples here are few.

Re: Anyone hear from 530FF recently

UPDATE TO ALL INVOLVED. I just got off the phone with Mr. Richard Roy or 530FF. He told me that he was shipping all of the items that he has received payment for in the morning.....he acted like his actions were not a big deal but he did offer an apology. I will give him the benefit of the doubt in the hopes that this gets resolved for all of us who have sent money to him for parts. I also informed him that his actions were not appropriate and that he might get on here and offer his explanation to all involved.... to those directly involved in the transactions I will send you his current contact information if you PM me. Hopefully this was a fluke deal and we can learn from this and avoid the paypal gift option on our future transactions.
