71 K10 manual trans headers

I've searched and I've found very little info on this... I'm looking for sbc headers that will work with a manual trans. I think from what I've read that hedman 69830 headers will work. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Re: 71 K10 manual trans headers

With a little clearencing the 1970 corvette headers will fit. This style has all the tubes come together in the middle not far from the head and then make an "L" shape to drop down and hook up to the exhaust pipe. I have them on my 72 K20. They clear all the linkages just fine. The frame rail and cross member did take some loving with a cut off wheel to fit. They also clear the front axle just fine. It does look a little close but no issues. I do have a 4" lift though.

Re: 71 K10 manual trans headers

i had hooker super comps on a 72 K2500 several years ago. outside of a few of the flange bolts being a pain they fit great with no linkage issues that i can remember.

Re: 71 K10 manual trans headers

i assume these are the same as they were 8-9 years ago.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ho...del/k20-pickup

i ordered them through summit, and they were super comps for this application. i cant remember the price back then, but i remember them not being cheap.

i also ran the regular comp headers on another truck but it was an auto. i cant say for sure that they would fit with no mods to the clutch linkage. i know i had to slightly offset the shifter linkage on the auto truck with the comp headers.

Re: 71 K10 manual trans headers

I don't have the part number, but I used Thorley (or Doug's Headers) on mine and they worked. They should be in my build thread below

Re: 71 K10 manual trans headers

Welp I called up Hedman and they said part number 69062 is what I'm looking for but if I find a good deal on some other brand I may jump for it.

Thanks for the help guys

Re: 71 K10 manual trans headers

Hey Campbel45,

A couple of pic's of 69830's, but on an automatic truck sorry. I have seen this question asked before (and supplied pictures before), but have never heard the outcome. Punched 69062 into the Hedman site and came out empty handed. Is the the right number for the alternate?

Let me know if any other pics would be helpful. Oh, and 2 1/2" lift on this truck if it matters..

Re: 71 K10 manual trans headers

Sorry dont mean to bring a dead thread up but I gave out wrong information on these headers

If you are looking for manual trans 4x4 headers hedman states that part number 69092 is what you need. $195 through summit

I guess I typed it in wrong on here. Sorry everyone hope this helps someone out!
