Chrome Plating
My 67 Burb has true 67 handles and am thinking I want to get them re-chromed. Has anyone had any luck with a place or know of a company that will re-plate them for me?

Re: Chrome Plating
The company I would recommend from experience is Ogden Chrome. Not cheap and they have like a $150 minimum but on a Burban you shouldn't have trouble meeting it.

Electroplating of El Paso - they've done several jobs for me. No minimum i'm aware of.

Re: Chrome Plating
I got a quote from Ogden Chrome, $165 each
Will try Electroplating of El Paso next. I don't want to spend $700 on door handles if possible. |

Re: Chrome Plating
For that price, wouldn't it be easier and less expensive to just buy new handles? For $300 you can get the billet ones and I have seen the normal ones for as low as $50 for a pair.

Re: Chrome Plating
I overlooked that part, my mistake. I also didn't know there was a difference between them.

Keep us posted. Show chrome isn't much more over base chrome. Pete

Re: Chrome Plating
Will do. Right now the interior is gutted and I am in the process of trying to decide to paint it or not. Well, that and the 67 C10 is taking up half of my shop so i can't have two apart at once. The chaos of one is enough!
