I am thinking about getting 16x10 Eagle alloy wheels 295/50/16s tires for the back of my 1970 chevy C-20. Will the 4.5" backspacing be enough to fit nicely in the back? Thanks

My combination is a little different than yours, but I have a 1/2 ton and have 17x8s with 4.5" backspacing all the way around with 255/55/17s. This is on a coil sprung woodbed, and I only have about 1/2-3/4" of clearance between the sidewall of the tire and my wheel tub.

I agree that you would want to check carefully for clearance from the inside of the rear tire to the tub.

If the truck is dropped ,that will compound the problem. I have a 6 -6 1/2" drop at the rear,& to fit a 10" wheel & clear the fender lip on the bounce,I have opted to go with a 6 1/2" bs.......& also stretched the tubs. Due to different rear diff widths& drop, its really hard to say what will fit.......best bet is measure. good luck.......69 longhorn.

Yea my truck is going to be lowered 6 inches in the rear. Any pics of lowerd trucks with 10" wide rims in the back?

I still have the 8" ralleys on(havent got into gear & finished the 10s yet),but here is a pic......I couldnt find room for anther 2" on the outside.

You'll need 5.5 to 6" back space w/10" wheels when you get that low.

None of the 10" wide rims are sold with that much back spacing SCOTI. DoI have to get them custome ordered or can I just tub the wheel well and they will fit?
