My 65 cab and box are off and I'm working on the chassis. I've installed a square body front suspension with 3" drop spindles and I'm in the process of installing the square body 12 bolt with a POL panhard bar and I'm using new Jeep Wrangler springs which are supposed to yield a 4-5" rear drop. I did a frame notch. I'm wondering what others have done to relocate the shocks? Kit? Diy solutions?

So it appears the lower mounting point remains the same and the upper mount point moves forward and up a bit, correct?

The mounting point for the upper shock mount is higher and back farther to stand the shock up. The 66 and earlier lower shock mount has a lower mounting point and is stronger than the 67-72 mount IMO.

Aftermarket units reverse the lower mounts as well. You may (I'm not sure) be able to swap right to left on the OEM units to move the attaching point there forward.

Thanks guys. I got my upper brackets made this morning per 3757Chevy's drawings. Can you recommend a shock part # for a 4" drop?

Stock front shocks would be about the right length. Rear are 18.25 extended and the Fronts are 14.625 extended.
