How many body mounts

How many body mounts does a burb have not counting core support? The set I have contains 10 sets of rectangular mounts and no round mounts. Looking at the pics on the parts sites, they show 10 sets of rectangular mounts and 2 sets of round mounts.

My truck has 4 sets of rectangular mounts and 2 sets of round mounts. Do you replace the round with the rectangular? Having trouble figuring out where the other set of rectangular mounts is supposed to go.

Re: How many body mounts

I searched for that elusive 5th set of body mounts to no avail on my 68 and resorted to having a spare set of body mounts.

Should be from front to rear:

Round Core
Round Body/Cab
Square x4

Re: How many body mounts

Stole this from GMC PAUL in another thread:

There are a total of 6 body mount positions per side on a Suburban or Panel, all 1967-72 Suburbans 1/2 ton & 3/4 ton, 2wd & 4wd and all 1967-70 Panels 1/2 ton & 3/4 ton, 2wd & 4wd use these same body mounts. These body mounts are not the same as a pickup except for the 2 at the very front on left & right side. The radiator support mounting kits are all the same whether its pickup, Suburban, Panel, Blazer, Jimmy with 2 styles available 67-68, & 69-72.
We carry all of the body mounts, if interested you can find them here
