Box Dimensions

How much has to be cut off a long box stepside box panel to make it a short box? I am thinking 2 inches off behind the wheel and maybe 9 inches in front??

Re: Box Dimensions

I think i cut 2" at the back and 8" at the front. That was from a 3/4 ton box sides.

Re: Box Dimensions

Its kinda difficult to get near to measure my short fleetside.
From the front of the wheel opening up into where the small bottom radius is tangent to the vertical portion, and to the front of the bed it measures 23 inches.
On the rear section measuring at the bottom most point of the wheel opening to the seam or crack that runs vertical to the section that holds the tail lights it measures 20.5 inches I could be off about 1/16 or so inches on that one.

Re: Box Dimensions

sorry, mine is a 57 3/4 ton long box. 2 inches and 8 inches sounds about right.
