Used to be pretty amazing

Been cleaning out boxes ... again. Finding a lot of home recorded cassette tapes with no labels, how the heck am I going to know what’s on them? Solution, keep digging in the boxes.

Also found this extra high tech blue Sony Walkman mini disk recorder/player. Wow, I can record up to 74 minutes of “outstanding digital sound quality” (that’s printed on the back of the mini disks). So glad I found this ... wonder how many CD’s I can fit on each disk? Heh!

That’s funny, we have clippers that vhs instructional video in the case. Today I had it out trimming my sideburns looking at the tape and I was wondering how I would watch it.
I can’t convince my wife to cut my hair. I told her a while back that I was going to watch a YouTube video and start cutting my own hair so I didn’t have to pay to get a haircut. She called my bluff.

I have a ton of self-recorded cassettes... and cassette decks to listen to them on. Too bad I'm so far. But I'm sure someone you know will have a way. I've been needing to install the factory AM/FM/CASS/CD unit in my '95

Nice find Mark...Interesting ,,fun to run across them old keepsakes once in a while.. since we down sized we dont hace much anymore ,, I do have a portable casette player that I bought at a garage sale ,,I used it to play old tapes that my dad made with stories he told on it about the old days when he was young .. I keep it and listen to them with the grand kids when ever they want me to get it out ...

Re: Used to be pretty amazing

Couple things here ...

Several years back, I found a bunch of Memorex 75-min and 90-min tapes still in the wrapper. Sold a lot of 20 for $50 on eBay. Just checked, looks like they're still selling for $3-5/ea if decent quality brand. Not sure what the drive is there, but it was the same story for some VHS tapes I found. I think the VHS is still used for music/tracking purposes (garage band stuff).

If you need a tape deck component, I have a Technics cassette player receiver-width component I haven't even powered up in years but know it still works. Yours for the cost of the ride.

I haven’t had a tv in well over 10 years. I forgot what those things look like.

My stepson bought 79 T-bird a while back that has an 8 track player. He loves that thing.

Re: Used to be pretty amazing

My VHS is still set-up. My grandson has enjoyed watching the Looney Tunes and even older Merry Melodies, as well as Woody Woodpecker and Popeye, my two favorites. I have National Geographic and Time/Life nature series tapes for hours and hours.
