Question Mounting cab to frame (47-55)

Got my s-10 frame finished and am ready to mount the cab. Would like to know how much people have to raise the cab to make it work with the frame and still have the proper depth in the box. What i got is a 84 2wd s-10 and a 52 chev 1/2 ton. Someone told me 4 inches but that does not look right. thanks

Re: Mounting cab to frame (47-55)

another way to get the rear wheels out is use a camaro rear end. then you don't need that big of offset wheels. i'm building a 1952 1/2 ton on a 1988 s/10 long bed pickup chassis. i shortened it 2" and welded it back together.nex step is to make up body mts. i'll let you know how i make out good luck. never give up make it work is my motto..
