Early Quadrajet APT plug
How do you remove the APT plug on early (1973) Quadrajets? should I drill it and use a pick, or go at it with dremel tool?

Re: Early Quadrajet APT plug
Easiest way is to drill a couple tiny holes beside the plug and lever it out.
I suppose with a Dremel you could clearance one side easily too. You could find a lot of crud in there and the screw not working. Last edited by geezer#99; 06-14-2019 at 09:18 PM. |

Re: Early Quadrajet APT plug
I got the plug out. It was easy. Hit it with a 1/8" drill bit and it pried right out. Screw is frozen. Even let it soak in PB, ATF, and Acetone. Maybe next time the engine is good and hot I will see if it moves.
