I drained the trans fluid and replaced the trans pan gasket because I thought it was the problem but it's not. And clue what else it could be? 72 c10.

Possibly shifter arm shaft seal.

Drawing a blank here, but someone (Randy500?) suggested using baby powder to find leaks. Pressure wash the trans, wait for it to dry and foof baby powder on it. Then drive it. The source of the leak should be obvious from the tracks in the powder. I think that the method was for engine oil, but should work for a trans, I would think.
