Thumbs down fwells67

Haven't received parts due (supposedly shipped on 11/1/12 per PM from seller of 10/31/2012), provided tracking info appears invalid, and sellers PM box is full so cannot contact fwells67 regarding the NOS 67-72 sill plates I purchased on 10/23/2012 (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=548866). Bad deal? Hope not. Fwells67 I need to hear from you.

Re: fwells67

I hate your having trouble Pete. I'm not sure but didn't some other members have trouble with him a year or so ago, he listed a 1 ton truck to part out, sold some parts and then came on here saying "his dad was selling all this stuff and he died" so all the deals went aray. I'm not 100% sure on this though, so if I'm wrong I apologize. Wish you luck Pete. Randy

Good info right here! I often payed as a gift...from now On I'll pay asking plus 3% to cover fees if they ask. I feel for you situation and am hoping for a good outcome. Thanks to you all for the insight. Learn everyday.

Re: fwells67

Thanks guys. Randy, now that you mention it I do recall that post. It would be a shame if at that time he collected money for parts never sent yet was allowed to remain a member here. Yeah, didn't realize sending as a gift could get you burned - I now see the the 3% as an insurance policy.

Re: fwells67

You do not have any recourse if you send paypal as a gift...BUT...if you send a check or money order, what recourse do you have there? If the check or M/O is cashed, and you do not receive the parts, how do you get a refund then??

I'm told that if fraud occurs (i.e. no parts arrive) and payment was made with a USPS MO then then feds can step in to investigate - Treasury police I believe. I don't know of any examples where this has been tested though.
