For lack of a better term, the inside step of the cab on my 56 2nd series truck, I'm wanting to know (and see pictures if possible), what others have done to cover this step. Have you covered yours to protect the surface or are you merely stepping over to enter the cab?? It's been suggested I use FLEX SEAL or RHINO LINING, what's your thoughts??

I put matching interior carpet in mine, it's velcroed in. I can pull it out anytime.

Up here in Soggy OR a drain hole (or two) is a must. Anyone consider a carefully cut, close fitting, removable plate made from diamonplate or better yet Choicedeck ( the 12" wide 5/8" thick stuff i used on my bed). Could anchor either with carefully placed drain holes and stainless carriage bolts. The latter might be fixed to the plate. Both are non slip. Just thinking (oww!)
