Leaf or Coil

Is there a definitive way to tell what a truck has based on the year? I'm going to pick up my '71 C10 this weekend and just doing a little game planning a head of time and forget to look at the rear of the truck lol

Re: Leaf or Coil

the obvious answer is look underneath.....but coils were standard and leafs were optional. ..I think...so it could be either

Re: Leaf or Coil

Or ask the seller to take a picture of the rear suspension.Say something like you want to see what rear end it has in it and act like you might buy it.
