I surprised my mom yesterday,decided to try something new.Although I get along with her very well,she has always been on me for have the same long hair for 39 years.I decided to get it cut trying a new hairstyle,a medium short cut which I love now.Knew it was time and wanted to shut my mom up about this.When I did go to see her,she did not recognize me at all at first.Then it was her oh my god look reaction and said it looks good.Asked me about the change and told her it's not that bad adjusting to it very well.

The hair that was cut off,getting donated to a lady that makes wigs for little girls that are going through cancer treatments or have alopecia.Was asked if I wanted to do this.It is a fresh start for me,filed for divorce on Tuesday which the date has not been set yet.Husband signed the papers served by a process server.

I'm glad you handed your hair directly to someone who is doing this service herself. I recently found out Locks Of Love sells the hair people donate for a healthy price, and it is not free to the receiver? Not sure about the last part, but I thought the whole point was it was given to these children.

Mom thought it was nice that I donated the cut off hair too.The long hair was creating a problem too,get into the casters on one of my creepers and it hurt.My step dad and brother saw it this morning,both said it was about time

Mom will always remember this.She has one memory and it was after I was born,doctor saw I was going to be a redhead and told her this.She took it well and sees I am one proud redhead.

I used to have that problem 20 yrs ago. Mother Nature has been very cruel to my hairline!
